If there’s one thing I could point to most directly, as the most loathed characteristic of Canadian society - it’s that we are collectively, incredible cowards.
To face harsh reality, make difficult decisions, or bear serious burdens of sacrifice for others is something that’s peddled around as an idea as prolific as the fentanyl flooding into the country unchecked. Don’t worry, the Government cares and they’re looking into it.
What most of us do is talk a big game.
Talk is cheap.
When it comes to any issues of real substance that make any actual tangible difference in the lives of people, what does the scorecard say? Business as usual, don’t rock the boat, status quo. Go along to get along, should be the new Canadian motto. Courage to face the real monsters is shamefully often absent.
As most people close to me or have been following for any length of time are aware, I regularly engage in crude and aggressive satire, dark comedy or at times shocking language and hyperbole. It’s intentional, because this is how I express myself. I do not write songs about suicide like Kurt Cobain, I don’t paint pictures of gruesome graphic violence like Gentileschi and I don’t compete in ultra marathons to near death like David Goggins. I talk. It’s how I get out what I need to get out. If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it. No one is forcing you to listen to Nirvana, study brutal Italian artwork of child murder or do a race in death valley for days until your kidneys shut down.
What’s being referenced here, is an out of context drunken exchange between myself and several others. It was not intended to be taken seriously and certainly not as any kind of grave threat. He is clearly offended - that was my not my intention while speaking intoxicated to an audience of fifty people at 2 o’clock in the morning. No one threatened anyone, no one thinks actual rape is funny. I certainly don’t think soldier suicides are funny, it’s deeply personal but a joke is a joke.
Absent from this 47 second clip is a further 10 minute or so discussion on how I believed his wife to be very intelligent and succesful, an asset to his life and key foundational contributor his success. Strange that was left out.
It was a rough weekend having my partner abducted by Police on a warrant for a $68 gasoline charge she forgot to pay. She spent four days in prison with no contact with friends or family.
To be honest, I don’t have much of a recollection, but I’ll take him at his word that he didn’t find it funny. I often find absurdly unlikely scenarios to be humorous, as do others. Put me in jail, I guess. It is Canada after all.
No one seemed to be bothered by earlier remarks about male on male prison rape, the time I “threatened” a man by saying I would force him to suck my thumbs, or my deliberately grotesque Harvey Weinstein character that frequently accosts females and males. Probably because there was no political capital to be gained.
I’ve also threatened to blow up the moon, time travel to the second world war and change the course of history and my evil Goat sidekick "Phillip” has claimed responsibility for a littany of war crimes. Send the cops.
I like that word though. Odious is a good one. Let’s talk about odious things for a bit.
Odious; Arousing or deserving hatred or strong dislike.
Oh, I and everyone that supports me are deserving of hatred, correct? Would you say we are an “unacceptable fringe minority that should not be tolerated” Herr Hauptmann?
I understand and regret if some were offended, but that’s all it is. Since we’re trading accusations now, I’m going to mention some things that I personally find “odious”, that are not for weak stomachs or fake people that would rather ignore abject reality. It’s relevant, because detached Government of Canada suits that have never held a real job in their lives contribute to them on a daily basis while calling their victims “odious”.

Over the weekend, there was a large student included protest in Oakville, Ontario to the outrageously out of control and dare I say “offensive” caricature portrayed above. This is who is teaching children in our schools. The wokeism has gone so far, that our school faculties and boards are actually defending this persons’ ‘right to self expression’. No mention of the rights of the children to not be subjected to someone’s … state of mind, or whatever is going on here.
There wasn’t a lot of outrage from the usual suspects on this one. They were busy being offended by odious people. Priorities!
You see, something I find incredibly offensive, disturbing and odious is this Government’s penchant for immoral war - from behind the safety of their desks. I am a veteran myself. I fought in Afghanistan, was party to and witness of a wide variety of extreme violence, killings, war crimes and other horrors as a twenty year old.
As if the war itself wasn’t enough, it turns out that it was actually all built upon false pretenses and lies. That our Government supported. They lied, people died. How odious.
Depicted here is the absolute carnival of horror that was the collapse of Afghanistan where families, friendlies, interpreters were rounded up and executed in the streets. Some were friends of friends. To the right you can see desperate people, falling from aircraft to their deaths as they tried to escape.
Has anyone even pretended to fake an apology for this? We were subjected to a brutal counter insurgency war, left in the middle of it because it became a political hot potato, left Canadian CITIZENS and allies behind to die - and no one so much has ever said “Sorry, eh! Sorry bout dat’ whole waste lives of soldiers for a folly, thing. Have you heard about the new carbon tax?”
You’re asking for more than we’re willing to give right now.
The Government of Canada, Conservative or Liberal has only ever paid lip service to the Canadian Forces and our Veterans. As I mentioned in the opening paragraphs, they will pander and pontificate about the easy roads and never dare stick a toe in the deep end - where it matters, where there are risks.
Something else I find incredibly offensive, triggering and odious is the fact that our troops, treasure, supplies, food and efforts have been pouring into a Kiev regime that overthrew the democratically elected president in 2014 in a violent coup. The “Tornado” and “Azov” militias would go on to murder and disappear thousands of people. Rape gangs, ethnic cleansing of Russian-Ukranians and terror attacks plagued the Donbass and Luhansk regions for years.
And we helped them do it. Friends of mine were involved in direct training to some of these creatures. Now we watch the horror unfolding and sleep tight knowing we had a hand in it. Where is the outrage? Surely the lives of innocent people being slaughtered in Yemen by Canadian Forces equipped Saudi Arabian maniacs - oops, sorry, different genocide - would prompt some sort of out cry.
But it doesn’t, because that would be difficult. It would be a cross to bear and a cause to champion that wont win you political points or friendly media spots. But it’s the truth.
Whenever war is mentioned, Ukrainian flags are raised all over town and politicians and media pundits preach about, “Standing up to (insert enemy of the day)”, I simply cannot help but be reminded of my own experiences.

One example I will give is of a few hours my fireteam partner and I spent administering first aid to some wounded Taliban and Afghani security forces after an engagement. Most of them were, to my surprise, men in their thirties and forties. One I had to work on; however, was roughly thirteen.
His legs had been shattered and blasted apart like used firecrackers. Splintered bones everywhere, and the burned flesh looked like piles of roast beef. It took me a while to be able to eat that again. Trying to apply tourniquets to this young kid, I struggled to find how I could make heads or tails of his left leg. His left foot, was resting under his own head in a twisted mangled, bloody mess.
He had deep wounds in his abdomen and chest, but seemed to be cauterized shut by the blast of what was likely one of our 25mm guns. The translator was telling me that he was begging me to fix him. There was nothing I could do and I had to sit with this young child and watch him die slowly, horribly and painfully in the Afghan sun in July of 2007 while we waited for a CASEVAC (helicopter) that came too late.
I’ve wondered what his name was, if his parents knew where he was or what happened to him. If they’d ever know, or maybe they were dead already.
When Veterans like James Topp and Veterans 4 Freedom are disregarded as mere “extremists”, a fringe collection of crackpots and so on - I find that quite odious, considering they too have similar experiences.
Meanwhile, we have political figures in this country that are content to not say much about the metastasizing wokeism in our youth, the excess mortality rates upwards of 40% if insurance companies are to be believed, the onslaught of foreign drug cartels and fentanyl, the outragouesly tragic gutting of our health care systems resulting in even more unessecary deaths and suffering caused by, again, mutually agreed upon lockdown and mandate measures.
There’s also this incident of politically motivated terrorism and attempted mass murder they’ve chosen to not declare odious;

Previously I had written about a close friend of mine, Tyson, who took his own life. He himself had felt regarded as “odious” by our society and political class. In fact, he was assaulted in a business simpy for not wearing a mask. The police took the side of the business owners, then he took his own life hours later. It was the last conversation we ever had.
Where is that outrage cycle for how Tyson was treated by the New Glasgow Police, RCMP and Political class of Nova Scotia? He invited dozens of representatives from all political stripes to work with him. Very few accepted.
So if you can’t see where I’m going with this,
I am genuinely regretful and disappointed if my idiotic late night attempts at entertaining unrelated people have upset or offended you. I mean that. I understand what it’s like to face and endless barrage of senseless hatred as you will see below. This is not even remotely close to the same thing.
I am also routinely harassed, attacked, stalked and threatened by people online - though very few have the courage to show their faces - as many journalists and politicians and public figures. Some of my weekend reading material:
It comes with the territory, but its expected of me that I ‘shrug it off’. When it comes to the future prospective Prime Minister of Canada; however, lewd comments and offensive remarks simply cannot stand! Call the police!

The next time you want to feel “outraged” about something, all I can humbly ask is that you please choose something of substance that actually matters. People die everyday, innocent people, for no reason. We should expect our leaders at a national level to be above these high school level shenanigans.
Or you could refer yourself and the righteous, immutable, beyond reproach PP and his handling of the previous 2+ years. How he didn’t say much about lockdowns, didn’t really oppose vaccine mandates, encouraged masking of children, vaccines and boosters for all. Silent on Randy Hillier, Maxime Bernier, Derek Sloan and everybody else that had the guts to say and do the right thing when it mattered, not when it was convenient. And, he’s pro-war! Slava Ukraine!
He’s also happy to share a smiling, friendly handshake and platform with a man that has denigrated every ethnic minority so far discovered, hasn’t found a woman not worth groping, firing or extorting, routinely embezzles money into his family and friends, declares martial law on my imagination (Diagolon) and oh, a pile of his close associates and friends just happen to be actual convicted sex offenders and pedophiles.
But mean internet man said mean words! Eyes on the ball, Canada.
If I can be sorry for anything to the most genuine, passionate ability I possess - it’s that I’m sorry Canada deserves so much better than this and is simultaneously content to praise it and lick its’ boots.

I really wish we could all take some of the pressure and stress you and Morgan face. They watch you and her closely because you have impact and a devout following. never give up, never surrender. never compromise.
I have not seen the video clip but I know your humor. And though probably not the best joke, you are human and authentically you. I defended you today without even knowing the full story. Why!? Because I trust my gut with you. Thabk you for clarifying. It's exactly what I expected. The faux outrage on social media was disheartening that I had to unfollow those who propagated the video in the first place. They will use whatever tool at their exposal. Including those who have no friggin clue what they are doing and the ramifications for their following the herd. Are humans really into sensationalism and adding their two cents to every thing that comes their way without discernment? I care about you. Please be careful Jeremy. Be who you are but be smart about it. I've got your back because I believe in you, my friend. I may sound crazy to you but I don't care. My friends in high places, please watch over Jeremy and keep him safe. Love you man!
